Sorry for the lack of blogs these days, but it has been a busy month so far. First off, Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's- Second, Happy Birthday to my Mom, Mike & Me! We celebrated our Birthday's on Mother's day, and had a great time swimming, eating, and just being with family.
Another eventful day this month was the 7th- besides being my husbands birthday. I came home from work that day, briefly talked to my husband who was outside, I came inside to head to my room & tripped over NOTHING! I flew into my bedroom door, my stomach hitting first, because it is so big! I fell to the ground and immediately felt pain. I screamed for Mike- who remember was outside, but finally he heard me & came running inside. He saw me on the floor & probably thought I was going into labor. I was crying, trying to explain to him what happened. He got me up off the ground & onto the bed where I proceeded to try to get the baby to move. I had some cramping, and was also very tense. I could not get the baby to move, which freaked me out even more. I called my Mom- she is a wealth of knowledge & a retired RN- she told me that the baby is probably fine, & he isn't moving because I was so tense, that makes him tense. She calmed me down, & told me for my own peace of mind, go to the hospital. We jumped in the car & headed to Memorial Miramar- come to find later, we should've gone to Memorial West because my Doctor only practices there! OOPS! Anyway, when we arrived they rushed me up to a Labor & Delivery room. Then we proceeded to wait 30 MINUTES for a nurse to come in & hook me up to the monitors. I thought Mike was going to go burn the nurse's station down if someone wasn't going to come help us. At this point, I still hadn't felt the baby move. FINALLY, the nurse came in & hooked me up to the monitors to check the babies heart rate. She literally said, after hooking me up, "There he is", and WALKED OUT! We both assumed at that point, he was ok. Obviously, we could hear his heart beating, but really, that's all she had to say?! After about another 20 minutes, she came back & told me I should've went to Memorial West, because they couldn't even call my Doctor to let him know I was there. The nurse had to get approval from the emergency room doctor to allow me to have an ultrasound. (That is standard if a pregnant woman comes in with "belly trama".) We then went down to ultrasound where they looked at the baby & tested him on 8 things. Not sure what the 8 things were, but Baby DiVito scored an 8 out of 8! During the ultrasound, the Tech asked me 3 times, how far along I was- I told her 33 weeks & 1 day. Finally after the 3rd time she asked, I asked her if something was wrong. She then told me that the baby & I were measuring a week & a half later than that! At that point, on average, the baby is between 3-4lbs, well, baby DiVito was 5lbs! What a little fatty! Unfortunately, we couldn't get a good look at him, because he was facing my back. He also was breech, but the tech said he still had plenty of time to turn before he comes out. So the end result was, we spent Mike's birthday in the hospital, but Baby DiVito & I are doing just fine!
(And he is back to moving around like crazy)
I am now down to weekly Doctor appointments, I have one today. Thursday, I will be 35 weeks! I am so ready for this baby. I am so uncomfortable, and experiencing so much pressure and growing pains, that all my labor fears are out the window. I am at the point where I just want him out! Let's hope these next few weeks go by quickly!!
PS- Don't forget to vote for your favorite baby name. (Top right corner)

WOW! What an eventful day!!
Glad to hear everything is fine now though.
Also don't always go by what the ultrasound people say. As you know they told me the DAY BEFORE she was born her approx. weight would be 8lbs 9ounces and she came out 7lbs 3oz!! So they can really be off sometimes.
Try to hang in there. Don't get to discouraged this early because you could have a stubborn baby like mine who wants to hang out even after EDD! But she still started her journey here on her own when my water broke less than 24 hours before I was supposed to be induced.
Can't wait to hear how your appointment goes! Good luck!
Mom is ALWAYS right!! I knew the baby was Ok bit you weren't so the OB visit was for you not him (and Mike)! Just glad you trust me more than your sister did - she seemed to forget I was a nurse and delivered over 100 babies!
Anyway, Mothers Day and birthdays was great and I really enjoyed having all my "babies" around me.
Hang in there - it won't be long before you hold that beautiful little baby in your arms. Remember what you were told about inductions!!! Let mother nature take decide - but not until after our Memorial Day Disney trip! LOL!
