The End is Here!

38 Weeks Tomorrow!!

Today I went to my weekly Doctor's appointment, and I am a little over 1cm dilated and 80% effaced. In other words, I only progressed a little. He did however say that I could still go into labor at anytime, and lucky for me he is on call this weekend. (He is only on call every third weekend) He also told me that he will be out of town on my due date, June 24th- which is a Thursday. He wasn't sure if he would be leaving Tuesday or Wednesday of that week- so if I wanted him to deliver the baby, I would have to schedule an induction. My first option was going into the hospital on Sunday, the 20th, and he would start the pitocin on Monday, the 21st. The problem with that day is if I didn't have the baby on Monday, and it went into Tuesday, he may be out of town. The hospital will not do inductions on the weekend unless medically necessary, which means I couldn't go in the Friday or Saturday. (18th or 19th) To make a long story short- I will be going into the hospital Wednesday, the 16th, and he will start the pitocin Thursday, the 17th. (I will be 39 weeks) Yes people- that's next week! Woo- Hoo! I am excited, nervous, and about 20 other emotions right now, and so is Mike.

This will be my final post before we become a family of 3. We can't wait to meet our little boy- who still doesn't have a name!!

Don't forget, I could still go into labor before Wednesday...
