Mason had an amazing 1st Christmas, thanks to all his family and friends. Even though he doesn't quite understand what Christmas is, he was so excited opening gifts. I would put a gift in front of him and he would get so excited and just crack up laughing- it was so cute! We were happy to spend the holidays with both sides of the family, thank you to everyone for making Mason's 1st Christmas so memorable! December in a Nutshell
I have been slacking on blogging lately, but the month of December was here and gone before I even knew what happened. We went to Disney World the week before Christmas for our annual "Blake/Koester/Humphreys/DiVito- Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party". We went later in the month then we usually do, so to come home the week of Christmas and realize I hadn't done any Christmas shopping yet, was a little crazy! We had a great time in Disney; our friends Dan and Crystal with their 2 kids Kayla and baby Dan even joined us this year! I love going to Disney at Christmas time, everything is decorated so nice! It was a first for me going pregnant, I wasn't able to go on my favorite rides, but that's ok, I watched Baby Dan so Crystal and Dan could ride them. We, of course, ate at Shula's- Mike would probably eat there every night if I would let him! We also stayed at the Dolphin, which is where we always stay; Shula's is actually in our hotel, so it is very convenient.
We spent Christmas at my parents house, where I believe Baby DiVito got more stuff then we did. I guess that's what happens when you have kids!
Baby DiVito got clothes, toys, diapers, washcloths, blankets, and a baby book. Since we don't know what we are having yet, everything was neutral- except Nana couldn't resist buying one boy and one girl outfit.
The day after Christmas we headed to Dahlonega, Georgia to see Mike's family. We stayed through new years, and we even got to see some snow!

By morning it had pretty much melted, but it was nice to see. We had a great week with his family, and Mike's parents also had some goodies for Baby DiVito.
Mike's dad also had some stuff of Mike's when he was a baby!
So we had a great, very busy, month of December. Even though it was a good month, I am glad it is over! Now I am in full baby mode. We can't wait to find out what we are having, so we can start buying stuff for the nursery!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Not quite Halloween yet, but...
I know it isn't Halloween yet, but the fall season is definitely in the air. The cool breezes outside, the leaves turning colors, well not really, I live in south Florida, but one can dream. So with Halloween right around the corner, me, Mike, my sister Whitney, her husband Brad, and my nephew Logan decided to make a special video for the Halloween season. So without further adieu, here it is:
I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it!

Happy Valentine's Eve..Friday the 13th!!!

Today is Friday the 13th, the day before Valentines Day! Did anyone else wake up to the same picture above as I did this morning?! Creepy...
Is everyone prepared for Valentine's Day tomorrow? According to my husband, now that we are married, we don't have to celebrate it anymore! Another "Mikeism"...We will be celebrating it, but not tomorrow, we will go out tonight for dinner. We have tried in the past to go out on Valentine's Day, but everywhere is too packed! We instead go the day before of the day after, depending on what day it falls on. So we will be dining at Longhorn Steakhouse tonight, one of our favorite places, and the best part is it will be free! (Gift cards are great!!!)
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!! I Love a holiday, what a great excuse to bake!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I can't believe Christmas is 3 days away! As you can see from the pictures above, I have been a busy baker, and still have more to do! I baked the above cupcakes and brownie pumpkin cheesecake for my fellow workers, and they were very appreciative. My sister jokes that even if I was a bad employee, my boss wouldn't fire me because I always bring in bake goods!
I am happy to report that I am done shopping and wrapping all my gifts! I spent way too much, but it is all well worth it. I had bought Logan (my 19 month old nephew) 2 toys about a month ago, and at the time I said, "Ok, he's done"- If anyone knows my nephew, they know that he has 3 houses FULL of toys (his house and 2 grandparents house's). So toys are the LAST thing he needs, but of course as I have been shopping over the last few weeks, I have bought him a few more things. I just can't resist! He is VERY into trains and cars- he is such a boy- and the stores have all kinds of trains & cars, so oh well! He is my nephew, and it is Christmas, and I don't have to keep any of the toys at my house, so what do I care?!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
xoxo Mrs. Di Vito
