All the Major Stuff is Done!!!

I am happy to announce that we have booked a photographer, DJ & MC, and a florist!

Our photographer and DJ/MC are a company called First Class Sounds- They were my first and only DJ/photography place I went too. I went to meet with them, (along with Whitney, Logan, and Nana) and I loved their work. They really do a great job at a reasonable price. I left the appointed that day to head to another one, and by the time we got to the stoplight I decided to turn around, go back, and sign a contract. I just knew they were a good match for me.

My first florist appointment was not so great. Driving there I was was stuck in crazy traffic which made me late, then the person I had the appointment with was helping someone else, so I began the appointment already frustrated. At that point I really had no idea what I wanted, in regards to centerpieces, bouquets, etc., so I assumed that the florist was there to give you suggestions. Well you know what happens when you assume! He didn't suggest anything! All he did was put book after book in front of me to see if I liked anything. So I gave him some ideas, and 4 days later he sends me a RIDICULOUS quote!! I was so discouraged. My second appointment went a little better, but I think there was a language barrier with them. My 3rd and final florist appointment was just what I thought a florist appointment should be like. Wendy (owner of A Busy Bee Florist) was so awesome. I went in there with a couple of ideas of what I wanted and she was able to give me so many ideas and suggestions. She was naming flowers left and right, showing me pictures, and tips on how we can save money. I knew after that meeting with her that she was the florist for me!

I also found my dress!! Last Friday I went on Davids Bridal online and saw that they were having a sale on the Oleg Cassini dresses (a designer they carry in their store). I found a couple that I liked and decided I would go in that same night and try some on. Now, I have been to Davids Bridal several times, and had found a couple dresses that I liked but never really loved. I called up Whitney, and thankfully her and Logan were able to come meet me at Davids Bridal. I tried on the first one, which was pretty, but not for me. Then here comes Mary (my Davids Bridal consultant) with this dress- even on the hanger it was BEAUTIFUL. I put it on, come out of the dressing room, looked in the mirror and just knew this is it!! I always thought it was a load of crap when people told me "you'll just know", but as soon as I saw it, it was magical! I am so excited that I was able to find the dress. Thanks to Whitney and Logan who were able to come in that night to help me find it!

A lot is happening quick and I am so excited! We still have several little things to do, but all the big, major stuff is done! Yea!!!


I want to give a special thanks to my parents who are helping me bring together my dream wedding. I love you guys, and I can't wait to see it all come together!!

PS- The main flowers in the wedding will be Orange Mini Calla Lillie's and Ivory Calla Lillie's (with other accents); I have attached some example pictures. Also the colorful bouquet picture is what my bouquet will look like.
