"I plan to give you love, nurturing, and just enough dysfunction to make you funny."

"Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage."-- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Sewing 101 - Part 2

I would like to introduce you to a beginning sewer's BEST FRIEND:

This nifty little tool helps you take out the seam over, and over, and over, and over, and over again until you get so aggravated you don’t care anymore the perfect straight line. I highly recommend this to all you first timers!

So, with that being said, here is my first unsupervised project:

I added the words to the picture to show you that I added a snap, so the pacifier can now come off, and I also had to hand sew on the elephant because it would not iron onto the washcloth. Not to shabby for my first unsupervised project. I haven't finished the matching burp cloth, also shown in the picture, I can't seam to get the damn thing lined up to get a straight seam, but I hope to be done with it soon!

For now I am sticking with the same 2 projects, it is probably the only thing I will ever be able to do, they really help me out with learning the basics. I have enough material to do 4 more sets! Yea!!! I will keep you posted on my progress.

xoxo Megan
