"I plan to give you love, nurturing, and just enough dysfunction to make you funny."

"Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage."-- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Happy 80th Birthday!

Last weekend we celebrated Mike's Grandma's 80th Birthday! Mike & I drove up to Port St Lucie to meet up with his Mom, Aunt Linda, Uncle Joey, Aunt Lauri, Uncle Anthony, Cousin Cameron & Reese, Grandpa Gene, and the birthday gal, Grandma Gloria! Below is a picture of Grandma with her kids:

Anthony, Grandma Gloria in front, and Barbara next to her)

We took Grandma Gloria out to Longhorn for a late lunch, and then went back to her house for cake and coffee. We also watched a video that Uncle Joey & Aunt Lauri had made for Grandma Gloria. They had been gathering pictures of Grandma Gloria & the family to make her a slide show of her life. Uncle Joey had sent out a mass email to everyone asking them to send him pictures asap, and on the bottom of the email he wrote this:

Disclaimer: upon delivery of this timeless video, Joe Morrongiello will obtain more points than Anthony Morrongiello and therefore will be entitled to a disproportionate amount of the inheritance.

Brothers, Joey & Anthony, have a little bit of a competition going when it comes to who is their mother's favorite- Uncle Joey was hoping this would put him in the lead, but Uncle Anthony had something up his sleeve. He bought Grandma Gloria a slide show picture frame which was loaded full of pictures of his kids, wife, and himself. Both gifts were great, and I think Grandma Gloria loves both her sons equally.

Disclaimer: Uncle Joey has more points, but Grandma Gloria will never admit that! She wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings!! (HAHA)Just Kidding!!!
Please note- Mike is her favorite Grandson...

On a side note- When we arrived to Grandma Gloria's we saw her cat sitting on the couch- it is a fury stuffed cat that purrs, moves its head, and blinks- very life like. Grandma Gloria explained that she always liked cats, but never liked to clean the litter box, so this was the perfect solution:

All in all it was a great time, it always is with Mike's family!! Love you guys, and Happy 80th Birthday Grandma Gloria!!!
